Menopause is a normal physiologic change in a woman’s body; however, not all changes in uterine bleeding are normal. This lecture focuses on Abnormal Uterine Bleeding and Primary Ovarian Insufficiency. You will learn the initial evaluation for irregular menses, menorrhagia, and early cessation of menses. Premature menopause carries a number of health risks in addition to infertility, and we review the importance of appropriate counseling and treatment. The broad differential for abnormal uterine bleeding is covered, along with pharmacologic and interventional treatment options.
