There are many forms of estrogen and progestogens available for the treatment of menopausal symptoms. This lecture covers the details of the pharmaceutical options on the market, including those indicated for women with high clotting risk, a history of breast cancer, severe PMS, and osteopenia. We review FDA indications as well as off-label uses for hormone therapy, starting doses for different products, and how to adjust treatment for optimal symptom management and risk reduction.
